Andersen Racing's Drivers Have One to Remember
After Sunday's F2000 Race at Road America

ELKHART LAKE, Wis., Aug. 3
- Although they didn't quite get on the podium
Sunday at Road America, Andersen Racing's Jonny Baker and Anders Krohn still had
a memorable day in the F2000 Championship Series presented by Hoosier Racing
Tire.

Baker, of Farnham Common, Buckinghamshire, England, had the best results, as
he started third and finished fourth in his factory Van Diemen that is
sponsored by Allied Interior Products. He was disappointed with not getting on the
podium, but pleased to garner valuable points for himself and the Palmetto,
Fla.-based team.

Krohn finished 12th, but his story rivaled everyone else's. He started 37th
but improved 25 positions in the race despite compromised vision, as his car's
front shock cover popped up and partially obstructed his vision during his
charge. He said he could see side to side but not what was directly ahead of him
as he sped around the challenging 4-mile road course.

The young man from Sandnes, Norway started near the back as a penalty for
bringing out a yellow flag during qualifying Sunday morning with his Van Diemen,
which is sponsored by Trallfa Industries, Colosseum Dental and Kruse Smith.

Andersen Racing's representative in the Masters Class, Scott Willard of
Weston, Conn., finished tenth in class and 22nd overall with his BroadReach
Partners No. 14. The winner of that class was F2000 veteran Steve Knapp, the Rookie
of the Year and third-place finisher at the 1998 Indy 500.

Andersen Racing's Doug Prendeville of Whippany, N.J. withdrew his Allied
Interior Products/Restart Communications car from this race after a crash in the
first half of the doubleheader on Saturday. Luckily he was not hurt.

Niki Coello won Sunday's race over Kyle Marcelli and Revere Greist.

The next F2000 doubleheader is Aug. 23-24 at Mosport International Raceway in
Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada. Andersen Racing's Star Mazda team will also be
in action that weekend at Mosport. Its Firestone Indy Lights team will be
racing at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif., on those dates.

After Mosport, only one more doubleheader weekend remains on the 2008 F2000
schedule: Sept. 20-21 at the brand-new New Jersey Motorsports Park.

Andersen Racing is sponsored by Allied Building Products Corp. It is the
official Van Diemen factory team in F2000 and the official development team of
IndyCar's Rahal Letterman Racing. Andersen Racing's Web sites are at
andersenracingteam.com and andersenracepark.com. More information on the F2000 series is
available at eformulacarnews.com and f2000championshipseries.com.
Post-race quotes follow:

Jonny Baker: 'On the first lap of the race I was driving along in the draft
and we were a comfortable third, but then the old safety car came out. On the
restart I nearly got by Kyle [Marcelli] in Turn 1, but didn't quite pull it
off.

"Then No. 58 [Revere Greist] passed me going into Turn 5 and halfway down the
straight, and I just had nothing for him. I tried to out-brake the guy, and
when I did that Chris Miller got by, but I got back by him later. Chris left
the door slightly open in Canada Corner, and I dove down in the braking zone.

"Kyle and I were pretty close in Turn 1 on the restart but we gave each other
room, which is the way racing should be.

"I was running with the top three, but I couldn't catch them today. A third
place would have been great and I'm disappointed that we didn't get it, but I
think I drove well and Mike Reggio had a really good car for me. Steve
Thexton helped me out today too. It was good for the points, and we'll move on."

Anders Krohn: "I'm really happy that I finished the race.

"I had a really bad qualifying. I crashed with another car and I had to start
37th in the race.

"After a few laps the front shock cover popped up and blocked my view so I
couldn't see well, but I gained 25 positions and finished 12th. I couldn't see
forward, just side to side. It was kind of intensive, but we finished.

"At times it was pretty hairy. I almost got collected big-time once. I had
to get on the grass, and I lost four or five positions. If that hadn't
happened I would have been in the top 10.

"We'll get ready for Mosport now."
